Three Questions:
1. I have a 1400 Watt Amp and 2 12" Subs. How would you set it up in a hatchback? Or, are there any pictures of audio setups in hatchbacks? 2. How hard is it to replace the manual roll-up windows with power windows? What all is needed to do so? 3. How hard is it to add Cruise control to my car? What all is needed to make the addition? Thanks alot for your time and help. |

Re: Audio Window and Cruise ?'s ('90 240sx)
with the stereo, get yourself a box no taller than i think 16 inches, and no wider than 15, other wise the hatch will not close. run the amp line thru the fire wall right below the brake cylaner, there should be a hole already for the existing wires. once thru the firewall, lift the carpet a little bit, and slide the wire under, try to make it come out right behind the d/s seat-rear left mounting bracket. once you got that out, thread the wire towards the rear seat, under the carpet, and back into the trunk area. then for the ground, just stick a bolt thru the trunk floor panel-making sure not to go near the gas tank. for all the wires going from the reciever, take the same route as the power cable. those twin 12's should pound nice, i only have one 12, with a cheap as hell 500 watt walmart amp with a rockford punch, and it pounds real nice. good luck.
with the window converson, i think all you need is the switches, power lines, motors, and a bunch of fabrication to get it all in there. i dont have power, and i dont want it, too much work to get it to work. with the cruise control, get a shop to do it, if you fuck it up, your screwed when you car goes 100 when its sposed to go 70, and you have no one to sue but yourself. its complicated, and i know that the cc computer says "do not open, or computer will become ..." -bad situation. i think maybe 200 bucks for that addition. good luck w/ this stuff, dont hurt yourself

Re: Audio Window and Cruise ?'s ('90 240sx)
the seat belt doesnt have anything to do with the door. take all the seat belt stuff out, and put a new one in that the shoulder and lap belt are connected. idk, i havent done the window conversion, or the seatbelt conversion. im just guessing at how this is done, kinda common sense.
