Aligning timing belt on 97 Rodeo 3.2L
Am trying to align the marks on old timing belt (intact) and the marks on the engine sprockets/gears before removing old belt. Have turned engine several times. Any advise? Core problem water pump.

Re: Aligning timing belt on 97 Rodeo 3.2L
Buy a silver Sharpie and make your own marks. It will take dozens of engine revolutions for the marks on the belt to line up again with the marks on the pullies.

You'll find a lot of useful info for timing the DOHC here http://forum.planetisuzoo.com/viewto...p?f=17&t=16972
