Where are timing marks on 95 rodeo 3.2l??
Hi all! Love the site!! I have a 1995 rodeo 4X4 3.2l> I am changing the timing belt, tensioner assy, idler wheel, and push rod assy. I am wondering if anyone know's where the timing marks are on the engine and the belt I bought has 3 solid lines not 2 and a dotted line?? I know where the marks are on the crank and cam sprockets but not sure where to line up these marks??? Any suggestions on the belt?? The arrows on the belt when installed will point and rotate clockwise, correct??? Once I find the marks on the engine itself, is it really simply line up all three marks with each other and thats it??? Sounds to easy!!! Thanks for your time and help!!!

Re: Where are timing marks on 95 rodeo 3.2l??
Let me see if I remember right (actually, I'm going to the manual!)...
The crank marks should be horizontally opposed. There should be a dashed line on the belt on the passenger side of the crank gear at 9 o'clock (mark on crank gear). The passenger side cam mark points to a solid line on the belt at about 10 o'clock. The driver's side cam points to another solid line on the belt at 3 o'clock. Would the third solid line go to the driver's side of the crank gear at 3 o'clock (groove on crank gear), where it lines up with the mark on the oil pump? Also, there should be a mark on the front plate for each of the cam gears to line up with. |

And the arrows on the belt do point clockwise.
