Turn signals stoped working

I have a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee And both the turn signals stopped working at the same time, The emergency flashers work fine i checked all the fuses and replaced the flasher relay behind the panel on the passenger side and still nothing. please can someone lead me in the right direction to fixing this problem.
