Intermittent, All lights on dash turn on, turn signals won't work

I have a 1999 Alero with 75,000 Miles. V6

Every so often all the warning lights on my dash will come on and my turn signals will stop working completely. The only way to "fix" the problem is to turn the car off and turn it back on again.

It has been happening for over a year but is happening more and more often now, but since it is still and intermittent problem I am hesistant to take it to a dealer.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Thanks.
