Motor swap....NEED HELP!!
I need some assistance…..I replaced the 4.6L in my 97 F150 4X4 with a 4.6L out of a 200 F150 2wd….got everything back together and bolted up and the motor wouldn’t turn over….After further investigation the 4 bolts for the torque converter are hitting up against the back of the motor. I kept the flywheel on the 2000 motor and used the torque converter off my 97.
I was told there would be no problems with the tranny- motor match up… So does anyone know what the problems is and what I need to do? I have started to pull the tranny already. And just from unbolting the bell housing bolts it freed up the torque converter bolts and the motor spins. Thanks for your any help I get. |
