What he uses may not be available in the US. I use Smooth-on Mold Max 60 to cast metal parts. It is a two part silicone rubber with heat resistance up to 560 F (294 C). Works very well , the only drawback is the mix is 100 to 3 by weight. I get it at The Engineer Guy, talk to Nelson or Sarah there. Awesome thread and superb craftsmanship.

I would love to see you cast those Maserati V8's and sell as transkits. They do look fantastic.
