Question 1988 Tbird Cobra brake conversion

Any help appreciated!

I have an 88 tbird w/5.0l. I am in the middle of the Ford Motorsport Cobra break conversion for mustangs on this car. I purchased the motorsport mustang lower control arms and wanted to use them on the Tbird, but noticed that the ball joint will be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch closer to the body. I have also installed the Hotchkiss(spelling?) mustang camber caster plates. (had to drill out the single bolt hole to mount, mustang strut mount holes 1/4 inch shorter than t-bird!). I had to order koni mustang struts that are about 1/2 inch shorter on the shaft. My major worry is that all these differences will not allow the car to be aligned. I can't use Tbird struts because the flange that the strut bolts attch to the spindle is wider on a t-Bird than the 94-95 mustang cobra. If the struts can be made to fit, will the front wheel base wind up narrower than the back, and i haven't tackled the rear axle yet, but I'm pretty sure the mustang axle was slightly shorter, which will cause me to custom order the rear axles anyway. Thanks for any and all help.

i was lead yo believe 83-88 T-Birds & mustangs were both foxbodys and year to year parts should bolt right up.the parts you bought are they for an 88' mustang or a newer one.
But im not 100% sure.best advice is to go to www.foxthundercats.com. these guys specialize in this stuff. its a website for 83-88 T-Birds & Cougers & LSC.and they talk alot about makeing mustang parts fitting Tbirds, and what parts are differnt from the factory.

Thunderbird cobra brake conversion

I thought parts should be the same also. but it doesn't work out that way. i think I found a site that sells camber caste rplates for my bird, so that works, i am trying to bolt up the right front so I can eyeball the difference, but the ford compatible coil spring comporessor tool is way to expensive. I bought mustang eibach springs and still can't use a jack to just get them up there.
