2011 Lacrosse Driver Info Center Problem

I have a 2011 Buick Lacrosse that does not diplay the instantaneous Fuel Economy. It shows all the other items in the Trip/Fuel Menu but not the instant fuel economy. My owner manual say it should diplay it. Should it be reprogramme or is this a problem in the Driver Information Center.
Any suggestions...............

Trip/Fuel Menu Items
Press MENU on the turn signal lever until Trip/Fuel Information Menu is displayed. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the following menu items:

. Digital Speedometer
. Trip 1
. Trip 2
. Fuel Range
. Average Fuel Economy
. Instantaneous Fuel Economy
. Average Vehicle Speed
. Timer
. Turn-by-Turn

I tried that [art of the menu. I know the manual says it,s in the trip menu. but scrolling through does not give me the option of instantaneous gas consuption it only give me the average.there must be a problem with the Drive info Center or the programming was done wrong.
Any more suggestions

I don,t have the Instant Fuel Economy in that menu, that is my problem.
Shoul it be reprogrammed or is this a problem with the DIC

I contacted GM Canada with my VIN number and they are saying that it is a missprint in the manual. So the Buick Lacrosse does not show the instanteneous fuel economy,
