Where is the thermostat?

I have a 1999 Contour 4-cyl. Doe anyone know where the thermostat is located. I'm an amateur at cars, but a co-worker said it's easy to replace yourself. Is it underneath the car or at the top somewhere?

if not in radiator after you take cap off. follow your top hose to the moter it's under the end of where top hose is attached to goose neck they call it.
