Hi,

the bodywork paintjob is allmost done.I will make the windows rubber and some other paints,but the mainpart is done.










I see one big error.The logo for the seatbelts are outside "Britax",but on the belts its made "sabbelt" logos!
This has to be changed.

I used for the first time "Prisma Color" clearcoat and im really surprised how good it was to work with.
It cost only 1/4 of a can Gunze Top Coat and its easy to work with.
It dry in about one day.The gunze needs to dry about 2 weeks when you will get shure that theres no fingerprint on the coat.
This is be my clearcoat for the next time.

Nice seeing one of these being finished Christian. The Pirelli livery looks great!

Since you do a lot of 1/12th have you considered automotive clears? You may find them easier to use and more economical. Buying a quart or liter of paint sounds like a lot but you use a lot in 1/12th and clear is used on every model. I like the 2k clears because they build to a polishable thickness with one coat and cure to polishing hardness in 24 hours. I've found them to be easier than acrylics or lacquers and they won't harm decals.

Hi Crate Cruncher,

i use 1K spraycans with 400ml in it.
They are much chaeper than the Gunze Top Coat stuff,and in my eyes they are better to handle.

Automotive Colors and clear are no option for me,because i dont use a airgun.
I dont want to buy one again.The cleaning of a airgun is much work and i deceided for myself to use only spraycans.
So i can take the parts to balcony,spray it,and thats it.
No long cleaning of airbrush for 1 minute spray session.

Im a little bit lazy.

Hi,

i just ended with the fronthood.




I made some screw imitats to the lights and added 3 grills to the airintakes.



The mainlights become a solid mounting.



Here is my try, to make some fasteners for the hood.The look ok for me,so i can make more for the rest of the car.

As a Finn i can´t help but to smile with the error they made with the co-pilots name, it says there "Kiwimaki" (sounds Japanese or Asian to me) when it should´ve been "Kivimäki" Not that it really matters!
Anyway, you are building a gorgeous model!

Hello,

i have some new pics.Not much progress,because im having trouble with fitting the rims into the wheelhouse.










Theres a lot of dirt onto the car.I had to massive sanding a lot of parts.
But now it looks ok to me.maybee the leftside needs a bit more sanding to make them looks the same like the rightside.
But for now its enough.

The longer the build goes on,there is a loss of motivation.
There are so many building sites,and so less time.

The longer a build takes,i allways think about what would be the next build?

But now im getting to the end with the lancia.
I only must made the wiper,mirror and lot of details.

now its done.He is finished.
It was a really hard work,because some parts will not fit together.
But at the end,i think its looking good.
