Tamiya Ferrari 312 T 1975 1/12
Hello,
the new year is near, and here is a new wip. My next victim: ![]() Its the old one without pe parts ,but with yellow decals. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is my actual guideline.A very interesting book over the 3-liter cars from 1966 till 1986. First step was the breakingscoop. I will try to make my own with a fiberglass look.We see? ![]() Next where the chromparts.I cleaned them and put some putty on it. ![]() I will try to make the wings with BMF.Its my premiere with BMF. The oil and watercooler became a welding line. Its now a little bit rough, but i sanded them a bit and now its better. ![]() Some at the monocoque. ![]() The rest of the monocoque will become also some BMF. The rivets are replaced with real stuff in different sizes.I made some alusheets for the anti roll bar. The seat was cut a little bit at the side. It took a while to make the seatcover, but the result looks good enogh. ![]() ![]() Thats all for now. Thanks for watching and hoppfully give some input? Kind Regards Christian |

Re: Tamiya Ferrari 312 T 1975 1/12
After seeing your builds of the 312B and the Stratos, I can't wait to see this one. This is my all time favorite F1 car and driven by one of my favorite drivers Niki Lauda.
I just looked at you photos of the complete 312B. The lighting is great, I really like the long shadows that give a early morning or late afternoon look. |

Re: Tamiya Ferrari 312 T 1975 1/12
Hi,
just made the front-rollcage.Maybee the weldinglines needs a little work. But the rest is ok. ![]() Did someone test the welding lines from Hobby Design? It looks interesting to me. http://www.mediamixhobby.com.sg/shop/hd020145.html The pedals are also finished. ![]() Today i was at my LHS and talked a bit to the guy who owns the shop.He say to me that he has a tamiya kit for spare parts, fortunately a 312T kit with pe parts. So i bought the pe parts and a new set decals for about 12€. More next year! Christian |

Re: Tamiya Ferrari 312 T 1975 1/12
Hello,
i made some progress on the engine. ![]() There must be more of the cables and wireings done. The endplates are done.I dont use the ones from the kit,i made my own with 0,3mm alusheets. ![]() The part that i dont like at the moment. ![]() The chromparts dont lookk like chrom, because i sprayed clearcoat over it.Thats a big mistake. Now i must do some sanding and make it all new. Kind Regards Christian |

Re: Tamiya Ferrari 312 T 1975 1/12
Loving the detail and the weathering... the weld beads are too thick though. I use Zap-Ca+ through very fine tubing to make my weld beads. One - two passes for 1/24, more for larger scales. Works beautifully and allows you to follow the weld joint contours much better than putty.
