98 Tahoe 5.7 ecm/pcm relearn.

Does anyone have the steps on the relearn procedure when installing a new already flashed computer on a 1998 tahoe with a 5.7lt. My haynes or chilton books don't have it. Thanks

Re: 98 Tahoe 5.7 ecm/pcm relearn.

Never had to do this, but I'll relate what my '98 C/K service manual says.

1. Original knock sensor chip needs to be in the new VCM
2. Passlock needs to be reprogrammed.
3. CKP Variation Learn Procedure needs to be run. ( High-end scan tool required for this.)

It should plug in and play and go.

Relearn should be auto matic when you drive it.

Have you installed and started it and drove it?

Any check engine lights?

Why are you replacing it?
