1996 Tahoe 5.7 not starting
Hello All, I am new to the forum, and this is my first posting. I have a 1996 Tahoe Sport, 5.7 liter engine. One day last week it failed to start for me. I pulled off a plug wire and see no fire coming when the engine turns over. I changed out the ignition module first, still no starting(it does turn over), next, I changed the coil, it started for a moment, but I shut it off, and finished buttoning up everything. Once I got it all put back together it wouldn't start again. I replaced the coil wire...still wont start. Any suggestions on wher I should go next? I am a shadetree mechanic, so I am a little stumped on where to go next. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: 1996 Tahoe 5.7 not starting
My best guess is a intermittant crankshafft position sensor failure. But if this were the case you would have a code or codes in the ECM.
