Re: The Cayman Interseries | modern racecars with historic liveries

Hello to all participants,

I am very happy that the picture that Micha has sent me in the morning, and that I forwarded to Sebastian (voyageur) and Dirk (dpbeetle) has had such an amazing effect. Saying we exchanged a few mails would qualify as the understatement of the year! The mailbox just kept filling up with new
picturs somebody found on the web. Dirk even found the Jägermeister version before I did.

I am also happy that this groupbuild triggered so much international interest after Sebastian started the WIP thread here in AF. It was heaps of fun developing the parts, resin and photoetch for this project.

I also want to thank the organizers of the 1:1 series Cayman Interseries. Without that idea this amazing project would have never started in the first place.

Hopes had been on seeing 6-7 finished models in Frankfurt. I was very surprised to see ten finished cars. Most of all I was happy to see Steven (Klutz100) with his Pink "Shinken" that also has a pink "Shwanz"
Everybody downshifted about two weeks ago and accelerated their builds in order to finish it by the deadline we set early in this project.

Hopefully we'll see the other finished Caymans (RobiJ, Hiro Furkada, Gio, Dirk, etc....) on our Porsche Zentrum and Nürburgring diorama in FFM 2011! That would be a great reunion.

Mike

I totally agree with Gio, and in order to honour Sebastian and Mike’s efforts (as well as the attention of Promoter and Drivers) I’ll do my best to finish my Lowenbrau filling the wip thread. It would be very nice to have the chance to meet you next year !

Robi

Hi Micha,
this link was from one of our KMF-guys. It seems, that it was hacked by Arcor.
I have done an edit on my story. Sorry.
Ciao

For anyone who is interested I have uploaded the photos I took at the fair. I apologise for the high quantity and low quality of my photography

Re: The Cayman Interseries | modern racecars with historic liveries

for me it was really a pleasure to be part of the caymanies, it was really a challenge. I finished mine friday night at 1.00.

at this picture it is not jaykay640, its me swissmodeller, in front of me is frafi, in front of klutz100 is peebo. sportracer02, voyageur are the right ones. there's also snake and röfe on this picture.
So now you know the "finisher's"

regards swissly

here some more pictures http://yfrog.com/jbdsc05085mjx hope you enjoy them.

Re: The Cayman Interseries | modern racecars with historic liveries

...Despite is definitely not clear, looks like the Interseries is moving to ITC, next year. Or maybe a new Cayman class... See section "Cars and Classing":
