Engine Rebuild

I am thinking of rebuilding my 3.1L V6. The pistons are slapping and the motor is probably just worn. Would anyone have any ideas of where to find engine parts like pistons, camshafts, and crankshafts?

Re: Engine Rebuild

Auto parts store have them. Try REAL parts stores instead of the national chains. Most real parts stores will have acces to KB, Wiseco, Silv-O-Lite, and FM pistons. Almost any place will have access to decent Clevite bearing sets and numerous gasket kits. Many will also have reground cranks and/or complete rotating assembly kits.

Don't overlook the cam, lifters, chain, oil pump shaft, and block/head rework.

I hope you're not planning a "shade-tree" job. It's getting a bit chilly among the lakes.
