Radiator drain 05 Silverado

How do you drain the coolant out of the radiator on a 05 silverado? The radiator does not have the usual petcock but a 2" diameter black shroud on the bottom of the rad. the shroud turns but I am not sure if that the proper way to do it. I dont want to damage the rad.

another forum member stated his silverado has no drain petcock, so remove the lower hose. use a 5gallon pail.

If your radiator does have one it will be on the driver side of the plastic tank facing the,,, driver seat/rear of vehicle.
