ok so i like older cars like the triumph spitfire and hate regular sadans and such because they are to normal so i found this triumph spitfrie for 475 but it has some major paint chipping and qutie a bit of dents. if i bought it i would have like 2 years to work on it but its in an auction. it runs but i cant test drive it brcause it is about 200 miles from where i live would this be a good buy

Re: questions and or offers
Unless you LOVE working on old cars, and have lots of money, forget it.
almost always it is better to buy the best car you can afford, a good running, decent, presentable car. Such a car will be less expensive in the long run, and more enjoyable. Rolling wrecks, even cheap or free ones often cost more to fix and restore than they are worth. |

Re: questions and or offers
Magic rat is right. I just got through shopping for a fat fender. The difference between the typical $5k rusty hulks I was finding, and, the $7K car I bought was quite significant. The car only needs some minor restoration, and, has won 2 trophies at car shows in the shape she's in now.
