86 88 735i parts interchange

I have an 88 735i and came across an 86 cheap ($300). The brakes are shot (p/s pump, master cylinder) and it needs way too much to put it back on the street, but the motor and tranny are still running and the car moves under it's own power. I'm wondering what parts (if any) could be used on the 88 to make it worth stashing it out back.

Thanks for any input.
