Don't racecars look akward when the exterior is made to look like a streetcar?
IS it just me or do race car kits look akward when the exterior is made to look like a street car? I say this because, Im deciding wether to make my wrc lancer into a streetcar or rallycar, I wan't it to be a privateer car, have it look like a street car, but it's gona have awrc interior, which is kinda weird, I taught about tinting the windows but then what would I do with the interior? Don't know what to decide, going with my instinct isnt gonna work either...

On my accord, which is a racing car, I'm converting the interior into a street car by modifying the roll-cage and adding a rear seat.
What mean, privateer????

Privateers are not Works cars...ie they are privately entered cars...

However, I don't think they sell their cars with their latest technology, they wouldn't want their team drivers being upstaged by a privateer!

![]() Anyway, the actual cars dont cost that much to build. about 30-40,000 pouonds each or something silly. Its the development cost and running cost for each rally thats expensive.

Development costs certainly are high if a team as big as Ford decide that they can't afford to pay two of the sport's top drivers next season. Mind you, they have fallen off the pace a bit this year so they will need to spend a lot of time and money to get back to the top.
We're not getting a bit off-topic here, are we?

Weird, I saw a price on a Prodrive prepared Impreza and it was 50,000 but I would pay that.....just to drive one on the road.....hehe....take the restrictor off the Turbo and off I go to find me a cop.....
Factory cars are available to privateers, problem being, the FIA has just changed the rules in conjunction with the local rally governing bodies so that a privateer can't actually race a car that is WRC spec in national championships as a privateer (if that makes sense). Some guys in Australia ripped the guts out his Celica WRC and put them into a Corolla with modified sub frame and body so he could drive it, now he has one F#$@ing fast Corolla.....that is not WRC spec, since it only has a WRC drivetrain and suspension(and that makes it legal) Oh crap, I am rambling...sorry.
