The temperature gauge goes to the red zone. I have replaced the coolant sensor and the thermastat. Checked all the grounds. The relays where all checked as well and are working properly. The fans both work fine we ran a wire from the battery to the fans and when power was supplied they work. What am I missing? Is there another sensor that needs to be replaced? Even when I get the fans to run the temperature gauge still increases above 240. Please help.

When the engine is hot, is the air that is being blown off by the fans hot also? I suspect that it is not. If it is not, then you have insufficient flow of coolant through the system, or you have a blown head gasket. Are the hoses to and from the radiator hot? The radiator might be blocked. Does your coolant look nice and red and is it full and the air bled out? Does your oil look ok? If your fans were disconnected, you might be able to reach down in there and feel the radiator with your hand. If it is hot towards the top and cool at the bottom, it is partially blocked. Don't try this if your fans are hooked up because they could kick on when you have your hand in there. Make sure air can flow through your radiator. It might be clogged with bugs or something like that. Get the hose out and blast water through it.
