Depends on why they close.

If they close because a new one of the same topic/idea starts up - go for it.

If it's just because of one's pride getting hurt - no, don't close it.

I can say that on one of 2 CrownVictoria sites, that excessive closing/moving caused the site to lose alot of membership to another newly created board. People didn't like the attitude of the moderators.

I recognize that moderators are placed to make a place more organized and controled, but it's a VERY fine line that you guys have to walk.

Good Luck - Kevin.

power is goooooooddddd!!!!!!!

I like closeing threads!

I like to think were all pretty good at here at AF, and don't unnessacrly close any posts. We're all a pretty open minded bunch and I think it shows in the threads, I know there are a lot of topics here that would have been closed for often silly reasons on other boards.

But some customer feed back would be nice, be honest, Nothing will happen to you. We'll chain DVS up for a little while.

Doesn't bother me. If someone has something they really need to say, they can start a new one. If someone becomes a problem then the mods can deal with that person on an individual basis.

Yup shut em all down!

I've closed a couple threads but they were mainly duplicates, and I've had to delete a thread or two on occasion but they were EXACT duplicates, like hitting the send button twice or something like that.

In general it depends on why the thread was closed.

Considering that Yoggs is the only non-Mod to have even bothered to look at this post, then either nobody really gives a damn, or thier to scared.

Besides, what are the members going to do if they have a problem?

Post elsewhere, which we don't want, which is why we want to know what they think of it.

Which one of you BASTARDS closed my witch hunt thread ???.....j/k

:finger: :finger:

I think its up to you guys to do it...you are the mods.

If its getting to be personal attacks on people then close it before it gets out of hand. Maybe a PM to the thread starter telling them why you closed it.

You guys have been doing a good job so far. Keep it up.

P.Man

For as much fun as I was having in PM's witchhunt thread, I'll just pwhore elsewhere

There have been a few threads that were closed for dumb reasons even if it was just a joke... but on the whole the mods do a good job of deciding what is game, and what is enough...

I just gripe b/c I don't have the power! "the power of the voodoo" *lol*

I know the Postwhores annonymous is going to get closed eventually, I just hope everyone can get their fill first

I hate closing threads like that. I say let 'em go forever. I only close threads that are innappropriate, flame wars, or otherwise out of control....
