Outstanding, thank you. That is the first picture of the wingless 72 I have seen. I still think it would be a cool car to replicate..

Hi Kurtl,

great progress so far!

Did you see this: http://www.jochen-rindt.at/Main/Biog...y_modelle.html

Actually the Monza version had no rear and front wings, as you see in Flemming's picture.
Don't forget the small lip on top of the nose. You also have to change the sidepods, as the original 72 had no integral pods...

All the best!

I would like to build Austria GP model, with the starting number 6.
I thought the change would be easier
I must find only someone to pull the cockpit hood deeply.

But now to the next build-progressed:

The tail wing was installed only provisional for photographing

Continuation follows..............

Re: Tamiya 1/12 Lotus 72

Hello

Your project looks superb. I have always planned doing this project, but one thing is planning, another thing is doing it.
The worst problem is the cockpit cowling, since the "glass" area is much bigger than the Tamiya 1972 version. What is really a pain in the a.. is the fact that the entire 1:1 cowling was done in lexan or something like that and then the red was simply painted on. I have been examing the 1973 version at Goodwood and it is obvious the glass is not glued or bolted on like almost all other F1 cars from that period. The way Tamiya has fixed it is wrong, but the best way to "solve" the problem in a simple way.

Best hosting questions I have...

Hey fellow webmasters, can anyone tell me if you've had any success and with which? It seems that there's a lack of honest reviews!

Thx!
