What's up? I just got and installed an A'pexi World Sport exhaust on my car this past weekend. If you can save the money and have patience, do the install yourself, it's pretty simple actually, I was amazed at how easy it was. Just set aside a couple hours for it. Anyways, up untill about today (so roughly 4-5 days) I smelled a burning paper like smell coming from my exhaust as it was breaking in and burning in the piping, and any manufacturing particles in the system. Also expect to see a little bit of white smoke when you first fire it up with the exhaust on. Just be careful with it on dips and driveways.
It does hang a little low, well mine does that I got, at least, I dunno how the N1's are. Wait, this ish has a HUGE tip to it, "5 right? Be extra careful with it then. I know a friend that has one on his '97 EX coupe. Anyways, good luck with it an all.Oh, where did you get your's from? I didn't really trust anyplace with a purchase that big, online, so I shopped around locally for mine, got it from a shop in San Gabrial for $385.

the n1 is the one thats a single cylinder that comes out of b pipe at an angle, ( vin diesel's rx-7 had same type) i the world sport was another option for me but i LOVE the angled exit, sets it apart and world sport is oval cylinder shaped muffler (not my preference) im in southern cali, in canoga park, theres a few scratch on the wall sized speed shops around here but i went to this one called dynamic designs for the first time monday and talked to the guy and then tuesday brought the 500... oh yeah the world sport seemed to be too quiet for my teenage noise requirements... "the way it should have come from the factory" slogan wasnt blowing my skirt up... i think i might have to put it in myself, 1) i cant stand others tinkering with my ride, 2)mechanic is asking for labor day weekend off (lazy ass) so imma call out the wd40 and 12mm wrenches, and sockets...possibly, good luck with the apexi, let me know how it goes and sounds and stuff, ill post when i get mine =)

ONE SUB!??! go mtx 6000's, one way you can keep those rattles down in the civic, get some bathroom CLEAR silicone at target or somewhere , the little tube and fill all those slots where the subframe for the trunk lid and the painted part come separate, and dynamat.... i dont know how your rattle situation is though, we should meet up

Thanks for the compliments man.
I'm from Pasadena.Anywho, the side mouldings do pop out, but you gotta tear out your whole interior almost to get to the back ones, and tear off your door panels to get to the door ones. Plus paint doesn't stick very well to them since they are rubber. The mirrors I'm just gonns get silver painted ones from a dealer online. As for my system, it's enough to satisfy my needs, I don't want to be heard coming up the street a block away, and even my little "10 I have can slam if I crank it enough, I have 300 watts RMS going to it. I'm also getting a full set (front a rear) of Infinity Referance speakers any day now here, they are on order. So my system will be quite nice shortly. My exhaust, it's REALLY quiet, almost too quiet, but here in Cali, that's good, because less chance of the cops hassling you for it, plus it still gives you as much gains as any other system. But it has a nice sound to it when you can hear it, and it looks cool too, has a big tip to it. If you can, install it yourself, especially if it's full catback, it so easy, just 4 bolts and the rest is taking the old off the hangers, and putting the new on, and bolting it in place, Simple as pie, and with my rear wheels on blocks, and front on jack stands method, only took me 2 hours to do. All you need is a 12mm and 14mm sockets or wrench. Good luck with it, and let me know how it goes!

just shoved the whole apexi factory packaging into my 2 dr....wasnt pretty , i live 10min from the shop it got delivered to but it was still hanging out right window a good 2-3 feet... my friend with shop bailed, booked today, and off tomorrow, but my girlfriend gets home from one week vacation thing tomorrow afternoon (gotta show off) and i work until 2, so i gotta put it in tonite, maybe ill take moms car to work tonite...errr shes not going to be home in time, oh well get to call out hte rawhide gloves after work tonite... good shit get to get all dirty and bloody tonite, i am kinda worried because the box (Shipping label) says d16z8 and thats the code for the 5th generation engines... mines d16y7, and the first flange on the n1 is 2 bolt, but the first flange after cat on the car is three i think... i hope i didnt get screwed with the wrong one...ill post tonite or tomorrow and let u know how it goes/went, maybe itll end up throwing tools across garage and shit, oh well later

TIS DONE!! and tis is smoking as cheech and chongs van was in up in smoke, lol , my friend came over about 9:30 tonite and i already had it up as far as it would go, wasnt as nice as having a lift, but oh well, we got to work and we had it all done in less than an hour, having ssecond person there really helped, we test drove to 7-11 and we got out and looked at it and it was smoking, and did smell like paper burning, my parents took my keys away speaking words of selling....i told there hoecake asses that i make the payments ($230 / monhts) and that I (<capitalized) 500 $ dollar for it and ill be damned if they pull some shit like that, so they took my keys and said they would sell it. so i told them i better have fun while i have it, they also told me that she'd take the exhaust back tomorow, i said NO, so i went to work without knowng whether id have a car tomorrow... got it all installed by 10ish and started torqueing stuff down, only problems i have with it is that its pretty quiet and it isnt as angled off horizontal as i hoped and the tailpipe fits in bumper cut out well, but off center... three MINOR details, ill be on 101 tomorrow so we;'ll see how the top end is doing... GO N1

Congrats on getting it installed.
![]() I hope all works out for keeping your car and the exhaust. The smoke you shouldn't see anymore, maybe after your next drive, but that's it. The burning smell expect to hang around for a few more days as the finish on the piping gets baked on. As for the box it all came in, mine also said the samething, and for '92-'95 Civic DX, but it all fit perfect, so Ithink A'pexi just lables stuff weird or something. Anyways, when I picked mine up, the guy at the shop cracked open the box, and just set all the pieces in my trunk with my seats folded down, it all fit in the there perfect like that. When I first saw the box, I mumbled "shit, how the hell is that box going to fit in my car?" The guy just chuckled as he opened up the box.

we were going to part it out like u did, but the guy "advised" me that it would get scratches..i said no, it WILL go in here , so i guided from driver side window and he pushed...i was rolling grandma style with my seat all far up and shit, anyways, this modding going on is tearing my family up, its my ONLY hobby, and i told my mom i already have the adj. coilovers to drop it... she said no, she doesnt really care , but shes stuck in middle between me and dad, this is the guy with the 69 charger w/ 440 magnum as his first car, and he's talking about modding... atleast the civic breaks 5 miles per gallon, anyways ill be 18 on sept 8th, so screw them, they need to worry about some other shit like how theyre going to pay for my sisters private high school tuition, i go to canoga park high, and now pierce community college, she gets private christian high school...sooooo dumb, anyways i guess imma have to go top secret with the mods b/c i dont want to hear the bitching. i think im going to go small stuff now, prolly power slot rotors , aem pads , and stainless lines, some where along the course of the ride, carbon look tail lights (lame mirrored) and projector headlights, what are you planning on next with yours??

I hear ya there on that, my parents aren't all that down with me modding my ride, but they know I'm into it, and I'll do it anyways, so all they do is just complain about it. My dad complained about me "wasting my money" on my exhaust, yet he helped me put it on.
![]() Next for me is I'm gonna order some AEM pads, a pair of Brembo crosdrilled/slotted rotors, and have some rear drum S/S lines a friend sold me, put on. After that, I'm not sure. I'm seriously looking into turbos now, and a set of Gude cam shafts.

I got the world sport for my hatch...... I don't really like how the R1 looks or sounds... Its a lil to whinney and ricey, the piping hits the ground on lowered cars and it just is to distinct. I am personally about clean looking cars and don't like flashy kits and exhausts that everyone can see and hear. Just my opinion..
