New Tires
I just changed my tires for a lower profile 195/50/15 instead of 60s. Now the steering wheels is extremely light and the car feels unstable at high speeds. The car is pretty low already and then i put on the lower profile, could that be why? Or is it that i need an alignment. Another thing it might be that im riding on stock shocks. Somebody help. Why does it woble like that when i try to change lanes on the highway??

Well when you lowered the car did you get an alignment? If you did, have you changed something with the suspension since you had the alignment. Everytime you change the suspension (height) or new shocks your alignment changes.

CivicSiRacer---Hey just wondering if you have a sparco seat in your civic, if you do, please check the link below and see if you can help me out.
Also wondering where did you bolt the lab belt's eye bolt (4 point seat belt) in your civic, did you have to drill a hole in the cargo floor? Thanks. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t59245.html

Quote:
Both lap belts bolt to the rear of the seat floor bolts. THe shoulder belts went to the rear seat belt bolts. Just make sure you only use the harness for autocross or slower events. IN a rollover a harness can kill you if you do not have a roll cage. If the roof caves in there is no place for your head to go except into your spine, which is not very comfortable. With a seat belt your body can move out of the way.

Something else to consider is that by useing a lower profile tire with a stiffer side wall the steering is going to be alot more responsive and you are going to feel alot more of the road that you couldn't before because your balloon tires you used to have absorbed all the ruts and little bumps in the road.

CivicSiRacer--I have already post some pics up, please check the link to my other thread again.
Also, I notice the floor bolt holes that you mention to use for the lap belt's eye bolts are too small. Did you have to re-thread the holes? Thanks PS. Thanks for the concern, but I already know about the roll cage thing. I only plan to put the 4 point belt in when I go auto corss.
