Can't find a manuel 240sx...What to do?
Looking to buy a 240sx 95'+ but, the problem is that most to all of the ones that have been taken care of with good miles on them are auto
. How difficult would it be to switch from auto to manuel (I wasn't planning on swaping the trans for an SR engine unless I got an earlier model 240 because I like the potential of the KA)? And would it just be a better idea got me to get an older 240sx, say a 90-93 and just do an S15 front end conversion and drop an SR, since most of those around here seem to be manuel?

well if u want a manual that badly then buy the older s13 240's and do an sr swap. if you have the dough to do an sr sway it comes wit a full drivetrain so it would prob only cost you a couple hundred more to cut a hole for the clutch and adjust some things

s13 + sr20 + s15 front end = gonna cost u alot of $$$
u got lotsa $$ to spend or sumthin? go for a s14a, those are awsome

with just the conversion engine and car you could easily spend 10k. Then of course your going to want some exaust or intake, boost controller a good 240sx like that could run atleast 15k if you wanted to make a good one

Well if converting it to manuel is the best option, anyone have an estimate on the price of doing that?

it took me 3 weeks to find both my 240s try cars.com you should be able to find them in in the bay area also doing the swap if you do it your self wont cost that much might take some time and will take some no how youre gonna move the brake pedal over just a bit to make room for the clutch then do the work for the clutch cable also the tranny depends on what type you get if you go to a pick and pull you could get one for 150buck but who know what the trannys been through also while youer at it pick up the lsd from a 300zx
or for your tranny you could order one from the s14 can handle 150hp more then s13 tranny or the last option is after market tranny
