Looking for pics and info on `67 GT 500
I am working on a model of the "Eleanor" Mustang from Gone in 60 seconds. I would like to get as much of the detail correct as possible. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find info on this car? This is only the second Mustang I ever built.

detail eh?
it was made to use the 428 cobra jet engine, and the 500 in the name had nothing to do with the car. 47 were sold, however, with the 427 side oiler engine, but was almost too powerful for the car, and it was hard to drive the car on the street. the 427 produced close to 500 hp at the wheels, and could reach almost 180 mph. the other 2048 cars were sold with the 428 cobra jet, which had 355 horses and 420 ft. lbs of tourque, with 10.5:1 compression, and came with the "police interceptor" cam, and 2 holley 650 cfm 4 barrels. it took car and driver 0 to 60 took 6.5 seconds, and the quarter mile in 15 flat, and their test vehicle had a 3 speed auto in it, and a 3.50:1 rear end. it was 3370 lbs, aand had a 4,195 dollar price tag. (had to whip out the mustang book for that one  )

 Get yourself a '67 Fastback and start modifing. If I had the time I would do the same. There are not many out there, and if you get one it will be kind of pricey for what you get.

Oh yaeh, Eleanor was not a GT 500, she was totally made up for the movie, no factory Mustang ever came out like her.
