Looking for Parts... and info

Okay, 99 chevy metro 1.0 3cyl looking for a distributor

Looking for direct replacements used or new, if you got one let me know, or if you know for sure that other years will work post the years. I have called a dozen junk yards, napa, upa, chey, gm, suzuki and the lists go on and on. Lots of people will quote me prices then they all say "opps, can't find one". The car has less then 70,000km on it, and it's too new for the junk yards and apparently too old for the delaerships, grr!

I'm so frustrated with looking for parts I am considering a new engine, I have heard of stuff like a 100hp + motor for 1500 american, that drops in with no customizations needed, I assume that would need a new tranny too. If you got any info on motor replacements let me know.

Every time I need a part for this car I spend a week trying to hunt one down, it's getting annoying.

Please help me.....

Re: Looking for Parts... and info

If you cannot find the part you need locally, you can usually find it via the Internet.

Doing a search on Google, using key keywords will usually yield a number of potential places. Check www.autozone.com for new stuff as a reference.

If you do not have a local junk yard for used parts you might want to try http://www.car-part.com/ where you can search across the country in one step. Also you can sometime get good buys on new/used stuff on e-Bay.

Thanks guys, but I was in a rush, the closest place I could find one was Michigan... It cost me taxes and shipping all in, 489 dollars Canadian, but atleast it was brand new.

I swear I checked atleast 40 junk yards, and all the local parts places, to get this I had to go through chevy, but heck chevy was cheaper then NAPA was, and NAPA ended not being able to find the part anyhow...
