I installed a big battery cable to dual fuse boxes (6) 30amp) just for my offroading lights this past weekend. I have some pix of the install. It went really smoothly and I think the results were clean.
I found an existing hole through the firewall right next to the a/c lines. I removed the cap and widened it with my dremel. I pulled the entire interior out of the truck, ie. seats, carpet, console. I ran the 2 gauge (i believe) battery cable through the hole on the passenger side under the rear vent on the floor and up into the center console. I drilled three holes in the bottom of the console, 1 for the big cable and two smaller ones for seperate 12V to each switch. I am in the middle of installing 6 switches in the center console the pix only show two installed. It is really easy to route the wiring for a clean look and you can install any switch you want. I chose standard toggles because I felt it would be the easiest to install and cleanest. I will be running wires from each set of lights into the truck and to each of the switches. (2) Hella 500's on ARB, (4) 100 watt roof lights, (2) 55 watt reverse lights, (4) 55 watt rock lights. I think either a second battery or a better (1000 CCA) battery is in line soon. Let me know what you think of the install. Any tips or comments would be appreciated. Fuse block install pix

It looks like a very time-consuming job, but very nicely done.
I'll have to think of something like that for more lights in the future... |

Clean install of the cables! With a 2 ga cable I hope you have a fuse or circuit breaker at the battery? A short in that size cable with no protection would be, shall we say , interesting?
![]() I installed a 100 amp resettable circuit breaker at the battery for my remote fuse panel. It can also be used as a disconnect by pushing that red button. |

Thanx Coolerman, great idea. I'll install that this weekend.
Are you still making the Clutch interlock bypass kit? Please drop me an email with contact info about that. I'd like to get it installed and used to it before ECXC in July. Thanx Ken [email protected]
