Man, you should definitely get rid of the CF hood! Oh my God, they're way outta style. So, here's an idea...Get rid of it to me!!! I'll buy you a new USDM hood and ship it to you and pay to ship the CF to me! How's that sound? Sounds like a plan to me. :smoker2:

The original plan was to get the cf hood painted (as Marked & Travis suggested). With the sides & front painted / leaving the center cf. However, the more I stared at the car trying to picture how it would look, the more the gaps stood out. My cf hood fits...decent, but I've got some pretty good size gaps on each side (between the hood & fender). If the sides were painted, the gaps would stand out even worse.

If I could figure out how to post a pic I'd show you all. Which hood is it that has the center raised up instead of recessed? I used to know, but can't remember right now... (Ami - is that the one you're talking about?) Would it work with my headlights?

Since I decided not to paint the cf hood, I was (trying to) having my stock hood redone so I could use cf vinyl in the center. That way it would fit the way I wanted & still have the look I was going for...

Thanks all!!!! :flash:

First off, here's the deal. Right now I have a carbon fiber hood on my h/b, & now that I've had it for about a year, every damn import in ND has one (which is pretty bad).
Grand forks huh? Well here in BIsmarck I havent seen that many C/F hoods. I think your exaggerating a little. If you see 4 cars with a C/F hood it doesnt mean every import in your town does.

P.S. Do what you like, build your car the way you like it, not how someone els likes it.
