Question Hood Issues...

I need some opinions here...

First off, here's the deal. Right now I have a carbon fiber hood on my h/b, & now that I've had it for about a year, every damn import in ND has one (which is pretty bad). As difficult as it is, I'm trying to be different. So I dropped my stock hood off at one of the better local body shop's to get the entire thing shaved & repainted. After waiting almost a month it turns out that they haven't started it because it's got a big-ass wave in it - in addition to hail damage.

What I'm getting at is that my stock hood isn't worth fixing. What would you do? Get another stock hood & press on with the shaving? Or a Cervini's? Or something else? I'm open to suggestions & everyone on this forum has a style of their own. So I'm curious...

hmmmm...tough call..maybe get your cf hood painted two-tone... like keep some of the cf showing? or get another stocker b/c in my opinion, there arent really any nice aftermarket hoods...they're all kinda overdone.. (no offense to anyone who has one )...

Aftermarket hood:

I just got a Cervinis hood (P/N 143). Its not painted, and hasn't been installed yet, but it's pretty high quality fiberglass construction, and the air-dams aren't too aggressive. Also, it uses all OEM hardware (except for the windshield squirters which are re-located to under the lip-- new ones provided). I paid $475 including shipping.

hey ci5ic, those focal rims you have look very similar to koing rated-r's. Are they a knockoff, or are the rated-r's a knockoff.

Just wondering

That's not my car. That pic is from the Cervini's web-site, so they're probably Konig's...

Here's a picture of my car with the Focal F10's (kinda low quality):

yikes! i see a lot of those Cervinis hood (no offence to anyone). if you're trying to be different...don't get what is becoming popular.

i say, if YOU put your mind to it....i know YOU could think up something pretty wicked :evillaugh sick :ylsuper to have made

personally, i would like to pick up a fiberglass USDM Spec SiR hood. if no quality one is found...plan B is the same hood CF and color match to the car.

i like marked001 idea. paint the c/f hood. like paint the edges until the center starts to dip in, then leave the center inlet part c/f. that would look cool. just my $.02

new hoods from the factory are cheep.....probably about $130 USD.....in Canada they are under $200 CDN....so I say you pick up the Cervinis hood....it looks VERY aggressive but not too much at the same time....its nice and sleak and it would look very goos with your projectors.....on another note I say you sell my your CF hood for cheep since I have not convinced you to get the Cervinis hood

Dude, there is nothing wrong with CF Hood, who care if a lot of people have them, when I got mine I was the only guy in town with one, now a lot of people have them, but they serve a function, so I can deal with it.

I like Marked001 idea like Travis does. Hey Travis what do you think of doing a two tone with the red c.f hood.

Me too. Oh yea 10% off K&N oil filters at G.I. Joes--I think it just might be the Wa. stores though.
