1/12 Otaki Lamborghini ??
Hey guys,
Just aquired this kit, and I haven't really seen much of it around. I did a quick search and didn't find much info. Anyone know anything about it? Or have links to finished model or progress threads anywhere?? Murray ![]()

All I know is the body proportions aren't very good.

Builds into a nice model but Veyron is right, it is slightly off on proportions. There are a lot of those around, it's nice that it comes with a whole set of racing decals including Marlboro ones. The built ones I have seen look nice overall though.

A beauty of a kit. Years ahead of it's time. I did a partial build of it +25 years ago. My skills weren't any good, brush painted-glue together almost immediatly-with the fingerprints to prove it type of a build. I only did the engine-chassis. They went on beautifully. That is why I got another one last year to try to do it right. I've heard about the body but I never got that far. Even after all years one of my top 5 kits.

The same kit was issued by Entex, Doyusha, and Testors at various times. They are all essentially the same with slightly different decals.
There was also a P400 version issued.

Re: 1/12 Otaki Lamborghini ??
Thanks. It won't be 'in progress' any time soon, but I thought it was pretty neat (got it for $40, so I figure it must be at least worth that....) If the parts fit reasonably well, I'm not to concerned about perfect proportions. I'd like to see one built-up!!

Nice score. Saw one of those at a store in Melbourne a few months back (the Doyusha version). Was sorely tempted to pick it up for about 160 Australian dollars, but chose to give it a miss. If it had been priced at $40 US there would have been no hesitation!

Yeah, I figured it was hard to beat. And, BTW, it was $40 CDN, (so about 33 US)

Hey, this is an old thread, but I just picked up this same kit from a show for $35.. wondering what you guys mean by the proportions being off?
