Re: 1995 Toyota Supra ( AMT kit)

It took a long time to do some on the supra again.
But now i found some part to make the rearspoiler in a way I like.

For the rearspoiler i used the frontspoiler of a Lotus europa ( which was destroied during transportation ) and saw it in three to fit the suprarear.

Now it needs a lot of putty to fit right and a lot of sanding to get the right shape .

But the first step is made .

Denman ( hope to do some more soon )

Re: 1995 Toyota Supra ( AMT kit)

Here's a little update from the last two weeks .

The rear has been put in to putty .

Al the putty has been sanded and sprayed in primer to find the last mistakes.

I found 1 big mistake at the underside of the rearspoiler in the edge to the body.
Here's gonna get some putty to close the gaps.

Re: 1995 Toyota Supra ( AMT kit)

Fater some days of sanding, i sprayed the body into the purple color for the first time.
And what will we see . pittings in the paint on the spoiler .

So now we need to sand some parts with a large amount of sandparts .
But the positive news is : the spoiler is nice to the bodyline

Re: 1995 Toyota Supra ( AMT kit)

Nice car and unique colour, but I wouldn't really spray primer over paint again, it gives the car a whole thick layer that is unnecessary. Well, just my suggestion, and maybe that's why the rear is not as smooth as you want it. I am currently helping my friend paint his camaro, but the acrylic was hard to lay on, I pretty much painted the whole car and stripped it over 10 times (finally got it right after 10+ times), so I wouldn't think for you to strip the car is a big problem and repaint. Then again, it's your car so you can do whatever you like.

Re: 1995 Toyota Supra ( AMT kit)

Here some progress on the supra.
Now the spoiler is OK, i could do some work on the lights.
The backlights and frontlightcovers are painted smoke.

the interior is allmost finished, needs some detailpainting and the rollbar.

The enginebay needs 1 hose and the battery ( which needs some paint )

I'm still looking for some nice wheels and i have to do something to the sidemirrors ( those are to big/ugly ).

Re: 1995 Toyota Supra ( AMT kit)

after a half year or so a little update on the Supra.

I found some nice wheels in the pegasus Daggers.

I think they look very nice on the Supra.

I have to do some work to get the brakes nicely fited.

The fittingpipes in the rims need also to sawed of about 2 mm to let the wheels fit nice under the body.
They are to wide now.

The mirrors came from a '97 corvette

Re: 1995 Toyota Supra ( AMT kit)

this looks really nice. with that particular bodykit, wheels, and paint, you should consider lowering the stance quite a bit.
