ZC tranny or Si tranny??

I found a place that sells ZC's complete with the ZC tranny..so which tranny should I go with??

if you get the ZC tranny you have to get new axels (89 teg intemidate shaft i do belive) but if you get the Si then you wont have to. (unless you have a std model civic)

I have a 91 DX...also remember I'm canadian eh....will I need new axles then too?

Okay from what i hear is that the std and dx models have different hubs than the Si. So if you have a std or dx then no matter what tranny you get (zc or Si) you'll have to change axels. I have a std civic so i bought an Si tranny and Hybrid axels ( tranny side Si, hubd side DX) if you buy the ZC tranny you have to get 89 teg axels (think 89).

ZC tranny for better acceleration, grannymobile tranny for better cruising RPM

Mind you, RPM isn't an issue for me - I do 1600km trips ever few months and sit at 3900-4200 RPM @ 100-110km/h without it being an issue. Fuel consumption is 7.3l/100km so I can live with it - and that's with a Y1 tranny.
