1.5" or 2.5" lowering?

I'm wondering what the best lowering height is in combination with 17x7.5J rims. 1.5" or 2.5" this is without any adaptations to my bodywork. Maybe someone can post some pics of a 1.5" lowered car in comparison to a 2.5" lowered car.

I'm a little afraid that the rims will hit the fenders with a drop of 2.5"

This will depend on your ET value, but I think you will hit the fenders if you lower your car 2.5" with your rims.

Just make sure the tires are no more than 205 wide(ex: 205 /40/17 and you should be fine with a 2.5" drop.

2.5 should be fine. I dropped my civic 1.5'' on 105/40/16's and there was still a noticeable gap. I should've dropped it 2.5'', but I plan on selling my car soon anyways. Good luck with the drop.

The tires are 205/40 ZR17.
Compared to a 205/40 16, i think the gap should be reduced with a 1.5" drop.

I lowered my car today with coilovers to about 2.5 " with 205/40/16 tires and rims...and they only rub when you hit hard bumbs at high speeds....(found that out racing tonight ). Keep in mind that I still have stock shocks thought....upgraded shocks might stop the rub. I`ll be finding that out next weekend when I go out...I `m getting new shocks this week. :alien:
