custom 2.5" exhuast vs stock exhuast w/ cutout w/ 2' pipe
custom 2.5" exhuast with dynomax muffler vs stock exhuast with cutout w/ 2' pipe along passanger side
when i go turbo, i wanna have the sleeper look and a quiet exhuast.. i'd rather have the cutout because then when i want performance, i want it be true performance lol. anyway the cops are anal about exhuast here in florida. what do you guys think is best? |

Re: custom 2.5" exhuast vs stock exhuast w/ cutout w/ 2' pipe
2.5" is rather big, heavy and useless for N/A (I've tried it)... but if you're going to go turbo soon do it that way with the dynomax muffler and tip all run in stock position.

i donno where you are at in FL but in palm beach they dont care too much... when my stock muffler fell off (in a bad way) my car was loud as fuck for about two weeks...some funny shit. i didnt get stoped not one time, no cop's asked anything...but i did piss off all the old people around here coming home at 2 in the morning...lol
shit my firend with a new b16 is runing open header...freakin loud (vtec is like a bomb) just get a normal muffler (as in pretty quiet not stock) run your 2.5 piping. they make pretty nice sleeper mufflers. not loud and looks stock just look around.

Re: custom 2.5" exhuast vs stock exhuast w/ cutout w/ 2' pipe
i live in ocala and i drilled like 8 holes in the stock muffler, and there's no piping past the muffler - it all rusted off - so no tailpipe to add any exhaust tips too lol
it's only loud on the low end, high end isnt too bad. cops are behind me sometimes n never had any problems

what up, compakt? The best bang for your buck is to look for some custom, mandrel bent 2.25" steel piping and go with the super turbo muffler or whichever you want, and a gsr tip would look really low key. If you go turbo, go 2.5 in. or larger, like 3 in. D Series are fun.
