How could I have missed this?

Everything looks great, excellent detail. How did you make the weld lines?

Nothing to add to all the other amazed comments. Great stuff and one of best model cars ever being displayed on this forum.

Congratulations, but please give us some finished pics!

Re: Scalemotor Sports 1/12 scale Porsche

Guys....I have not been able complete the car because I ran into a snag. The side glass was molded very thick, and in one piece. I tried to use thin clear styrene to make the two piece sliding window glass and trashed the window frames. I have been beating my head on the wall trying to figure out what to do.

Any suggestions????

Re: Scalemotor Sports 1/12 scale Porsche

Get some strip styrene and reconstruct the window frames on a single piece of clear styrene that is the shape of the entire window. Add a second clear piece that is only 1/2 the length for the sliding portion, only it is fixed. Glue the assembly on the door. Will this work?

Re: Scalemotor Sports 1/12 scale Porsche

The problem is that the original kit windows had lugs molded in the bottom that were supposed to screw into the inside of the doors. There is very little surface on the edge of the door to glue anything. I need to figure out a way to attach the glass to the door firmly enough to support the fram or vice versa. The other problem with using strip styrene is that the frame must curve. Strip styrene will not curve on the flat axis.

Could you post up some pictures of the catastrophe? We might be able to come up with something.
