Re: Hobby Lobby is my favorite store!

I could tell you what she got, but that would ruin the fun and suspense, so y'all have to wait till tomorrow to find out. I myself didn't get anything since I had already gotten two models today, as y'all might have seen.

Re: Hobby Lobby is my favorite store!

Yes, I bought the Enzo. I also picked up the "pro-touring" 67 Chevelle to build for my dad for Christmas, since he has a 67 SS Chevelle in high school. So that makes...5 kits bought this week, and two last week. Does this make me obsessive?

I'm not even pulling the Enzo out of the plastic until I know for sure that I'm going to build it, and that won't be until I finish...the C6, 67 Chevelle, 69 "Convettible," and 2k2 Vette. And maybe the '03 Cobra, which really doesn't need much more work other than fixing what I broke. If I can ever bring myself to pull it out of the box and assess the damage, I have something special planned for it.

I can't imagine ANYONE paying $50 for that Enzo. I don't care how spiffy it is.

I think the extra parts go with one of the Mustangs, i.e. the Cobra or 98 Saleen. I know the 99 Cobra comes with cam covers and intake from an earlier Cobra kit (96 maybe?) The Lightning has a very similar engine. As for those sideskirt pieces, yeah they're great aren't they? I used a lot of putty to make them look ok. As for the rear bumper, on the actual truck there's a gap between it and the body, and I'm guessing that's what Revell was going for with this kit (they failed), I molded it into place and sanded down all the grip surfaces (you know, where it has black plastic on the top of the bumper etc) I have a build thread on that truck somewhere on here, you should look it up. Good stuff.

Scaglietti's!
I can spend $10 bucks on gas, or wait till next week when one of the two stores near me puts out new stuff. I guess I should be happy I did'nt 'win' one on E-bay for $20+ last week.

Did anyone see the Revell New Beetle snap kit(with the 'tuner' wheels)...?

Re: Hobby Lobby is my favorite store!

612s only cost like $19.99 regular price... who would want to buy one on Ebay for $20, then pay shipping?!?!

Hobby Lobby. Of the three stores on my "route", one store had one. The problem w/Hobby Lobby is all stores are not created equal...the one nearest to my house always has a lousy selection and never the newest stuff, yet if I drive bit further to another one, it's almost always stocked w/the lastest and greatest.

Re: Hobby Lobby is my favorite store!

Yeah, I know, I saw two at the Hobby Lobby in Lewisville yesterday. I just wasn't sure where they came from in this thread, but I didn't read back and my brain is too spazzmastic to remember.

I couldn't find the Tamiya Enzo, so I'll visit another branch tomorrow.
That's where it came from, but the reply was just a little slow about it. And of course, I have to work tonight, and tomorrow night, but then, on friday, I can go deposit my checks and then get my next model from Hobby Town, if it is still there.....if not, I'll be very upset.

Re: Hobby Lobby is my favorite store!

What model are you going to pick up? Have you hidden it yet? Surely they'll hold it for you until Friday...

Re: Hobby Lobby is my favorite store!

If I told you what it was, you might steal it from me................probably not. It's not really hidden. It's a Formula 1 kit with clear body. I'm really hopeing that it will stay there till I go in again on friday. If the old guy is there, he knows my by now, ask him if they can hold kits. If they can, ask him to hold the F1 kit with clear body till friday for Scott Sullivan. If not, hide it for me please.

I saw that one when I got the F50. I'll mention it to him if I see him!
