My 95 Primera manual has suddenly gained a severe front wheel wobble.
After having gone 20 or so miles it starts vibrating intermittantly, seems ok on straight roads, but knocks round tight right hand bends and feels like left hand wheel will fall off. It also shakes when power is reduced for slowing and slight r/h bends. This happened after a bit of high speed aquaplaning....could it be related? My local garage can find nothing wrong but say may need new left side C.V. joint - are they right? Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks. |

Put your steering on full right lock & then move foward slowly &
see if u can hear any clicking noises (try also to the left) The CV joint is more likely to make a noise at its full travel if u can hear it then replace it. It could even be a front suspension drop link or leg, you really need to get it back on a ramp & check thoroughly coz those symptons ain't good Find a way to recreate it easily & get back to the garage

Sounds like a suspension problem - best get it checked. If nothing is found, however, get your wheels re-balanced. If they are out of balance, then this will cause a bad vibration at certain speeds (not all speeds - it's dependent on how far out of balance they are).
