heres a glasspack

they are very loud, and offer very good flow. I almost got some but I got a very nice deal on flowmasters.

Re: Camaro SS vs Grand Prix GTP busted

I like the sound of glasspacks but they burn off fast, their is a very nice exhaust system that alot of guys run on their 240-280z's, they come with glass packs, but after a few months they get insanely loud.

Re: Camaro SS vs Grand Prix GTP busted

im surprised to hear sumeone ask wut a glasspack is. i guess they do offer a performance difference in that theyre a straight thru design, meaning u can look right thru them from end to end, basically giving no backpressure at all. they sound pretty darn hot on older v8s cuz they dont "clean up" or "smooth" the sound at all. they just make the exhaust loud as anything and real ratty. i luv em.

I dunno to much about the GTP? What do they run stock?
14-15@92-95mph

but the stock supercharger on those has its limitations
Mine is stock without any porting/polishing. There are guys in the 10s with the stock blower(GenIII M90).
The blower on the 97-03GTPs(240hp) is the Eaton GenIIIM90 and is not as good as the one on the 04+GTPs(260hp), which uses the GenVM90.

The newest Grand Prix model(2005) is called the GXP and has a V8(LS4) 303hp/323lbs torque FWD. It runs 13.9-14.3@98-99mph

From 2006 on there is no more GTP and the GT will become the supercharged version. THe GXP V8 model replaces the GTP basically and the only "GTP" from pontiac will be the G6 GTP, which will use a supercharged 3.5L engine.

Looks like Pontiac's going down the toilet, especially after the 2007 Buick Regal Grand National GNX debuts.

Re: Camaro SS vs Grand Prix GTP busted

Yeah..Pontiac is going down the crapper... That's why GM just made a multi billion dollar investment to revamp Pontiac... Same with Buick. No i actually got to drive a GXP at work after the guy i work next to got done with the PDI of one, i got to test drive it. Very Ballsy. Plus we're getting the G6 Coupe's in next week, i'll take some pictures of them when they get here.

Edit: Not meant for you Jeff, i know you were being sarcastic.

Keeps those Chevy guys and others on their toes, especially when they start throwing in their 2 cents. Just passing on the good ole work of our main man Big-L.....lol.
