ok....bad news....my motor is blown for sure.
today went to a friends house and checked compression... Cylinder 1 = 140 Cylinder 2 = 155 Cylinder 3 = 100 Cylinder 4 = Also somewhere around 100...and after that I didn't really care since my motor was fucked anyways. Well I am going to do a link down test next week and see whats damaged and what was the source of this... How much is a used SR20DE? How much are OEM internal parts?? which is more worth the money? I know I have to wait and see what parts I will need to fix but for now I want to know prices. I am also considering selling my 1999 G20t Black/Black 5-Speed manual. |

what is the stock compression supposed to actually read around? you could probably get a used SR20DE for around $800 and the OEM internals would cost a hella lot more, so id suggust getting the motor. if your tranny is ok then that would be easy to swap a motor, plus yours doesnt come with the roller rocker motor so even better.

Well the parts I don't think are that bad...I think its the labor that will kill it. I am considering a motor swap but by law you need to put a 1999 or newer motor to be legal.

You could always just get one of the imported Primera engines from SR20developement, or maybe Soken or somewhere like that. I know SR20developement probalby has a couple regular SR20s, and probably can get DETs or VEs in pretty easily, if you wanted to do something like that. That sucks, a local SE-R person had a similar mishap on the dyno, but with all 4 cylindars, due to Nitrous
And he had everything setup right w/ the JWT kit and everything...
