Can any one tell me if a 1.8L or a 1.0L Eclipse engine can be put into a a Scoupe with a 1.5L. I'm trying to Possibly put a turbo eclipse engine in the Scoupe. Will it work? What needs to be done? Also i'm tring to find a body kit for it.

Err the only Turbo engine the Elantra uses is a turbo diesel. Hyundai haven't produced a gasoline turbo engine since the Scoupe.
And in answer to your question, anything is possible I guess though it'd be easier to put the eclipse engine in a pre 1992 Scoupe since they used a mitsu engine. The Scoupe II used hyundai's alpha engine and thus used different motor mounts. |
