lol, is it just me or am I the only one who thinks that "K" doesn't want to do engine mods just to beat this otheer girl in a race? A Camaro is not "hot stuff" but it would beat a Civic stock, any model. I say just forget about it if at all possible, b/c if you race her (assuming you don't do any upgrades) chances are she will win, then she will be even more cocky and arrogant and you will be fresh out of new, unbeaten cars

I think you might have a chance against a V6 Camaro. V6 Camaro's suck ass. So do V6 Mustangs. People who buy those cars deserve to get their a$$ kicked by hamster cars like Civic SI's.

When I first read the title of this post I thought you were going to post that you beat a Camaro Z28/SS. Luckly though, you aren't smoking anything and you realize that you have a hamster engine and that you can't beat those god cars.

ahhhhhhh V6 camaro's thats like having a civic DX. i think a Si with a good driver can take a auto stock "96" thats two big disadvantages here. plus the power to weight isn't as good on that heavy cow with only a v6 motor to a light nimble Si with a i4. in a drag, i would put my money on the Si. on the highway where top end counts however, i don't think the v-tec with make up for 2 less cylinders. and i notice alot of new people today. welcome to the board. this board will suck your life away. hehe

i dont know why you want a civic. if you want to drag race people then you are buying the wrong car. civics are slow, even the si, not to mention FWD. they are economy cars, and the si is just an economy car thats fun to drive as well. thats all though, just fun to drive. my first sports car, a 1988 944s would have crushed a brand new SI without even wincing; and i only paid 3,500 for it.

you make mention of engine mods...like what? i got a reality check for ya, the engineers at honda know how to make n/a horsepower, and unless you are going to tear the engine to pieces, force induct it (in hondas also read: tearing engine to pieces shortly thereafter), or swap in another engine you arn't going to get more than a couple horsepower out of any myriad of mods. you might even lose some. factory airboxes are often designed the way they are for a reason...i wont touch the factory airbox on my 944 turbo.
