Don't have the exact date, but it was somewhere in the first half of 2001 I think!

Hey Nissan 2.O
How did u get a aem cold air intake into your 96 g20? The shops around my area said you cant fit that in the sr20de? And how is your mx exhaust? I ordered that and it took 6months from one plase to come in so i canceled that one then i ordered it again and its been now like a month and half! How long did it take for yours to come in? Thanks dude.

So the G has been gaining weight since its maiden birth? The sad thing is its heart rate stays the same - 145 hp!!! If it is like human, increase weight likely increase heart rate, it would be darn good. I think it's time to put the overweight G in the gym!! So stripping every ounce off of it is the only way to maximize your horsepower to weight ratio. See what can we strip off.....hmm...

Steel hood = carbon fiber hood
Magnesium rims = titanium rims
SR20DE = SR20VE????! (actually, which one is lighter?)
Stock Suspension = TEIN NA suspension

...what else?

Seriously, if the G20 has an engine rated at 200+ hp, it would be the king of the street, literally!!!

The hood could save you around 20lbs. You could probably save about 40lbs from getting lightweigth rims. You don't need to get exotic materials and spending a fortune. You won't save much with the the motor swap, let's call it negligable. You won't save anything with suspension. You can swap out the seats for lightweight racing buckets. The P11's have safety bars in the doors that would probably save about 40-60lbs. Light weight battery like my Hawker Genisis which saves 20lbs. Sound deadining and tar would probably get you about 50lbs. Interior bits of trim.....well you get the picture. There are plenty of ways to save weight.

I did see one thing in a mag the other day that I would really like to get. Carbon fiber intake manifold and valve cover! Shweet. Each weight about 1/3 the original.

Would have been sweet. I dont' know about the king but it would have bumped the G20 up from just average status.
