I shed tears today..

Today i got off work early to come home and clean my car up. I wrecked my 89 LeSabre T-Type about 4 months ago, front left side damage. A guys wants to buy it for 800 dollars(as a parts car), so i got it ready for delivery for tomorrow. After i got it all cleaned up again, i started to realize how much i was actually going to miss that car, i've had it since i turned 16 3 years ago... Her name was Christine(after the Stephen King novel) I've been through so much with that car it's like losing a member of my family, it's gonna be hard watching her get pulled away from me tomorrow knowing i'm never gonna see her again. I had so many plans for my buick since i was finally able to make and save more money, and now all my hopes are crushed. The only good coming out of this is im getting a Buick Reatta in prime condition for 2K dollars. Ill miss Christine, maybe someday i'll find another like her.

Its tough to lose your first car, but it gets easier as you buy and drive more cars. You can't stay too attached to the past, as there are so many other cars to enjoy. Personally, I would take a Reatta over a LeSabre any day.

man I am sorry for your loss. I know how it feels to part with a car that you have has so many memorys in. My little 88 ranger was my first. There are alot of first time memorys in that truck. First burnout, first time I was pulled over, first high school dance where I accually drove, First time I....well lets not get into that one . seems like alot of memorys sold for 2k. Now that I look at it though, it was worth it.

its not easier

i can tell you its no easier to get rid of cars that you love, i cant part with mine and ive got 5 and always shopping for more. Ive sold one car, and it was a 1988 Electra Wagon, and i hate myself daily for selling it. However i do see it occaisionally and the guy babies it more than i ever could. But i think i would have had to fixed the T-type Lesabre rather than selling it.

we also traded a 92 lesabre limited in 97 for my regal, and i see my old lesabre all over town.....a mexican has it, and has ruined it, i want to kick and scream everytime i see it
