Exclamation Does anyone know codes PO440 and PO446?

I just bought a 1997 Maxima about a month ago and love it. I had my engine light come on and the codes are PO 440 and PO 446. Can anyone please help me. I am also looking at putting on a cold airintake and any info on those would be awesome

most of the time replacing the vent control valve on the canister will correct this problem

OK, I fixed the 446 code by replacing the evap cut valve, located on the charcoal canister. It's the part opposite the muffler previously mentioned in the thread. NOW, I replaced the gas cap and replaced my purge control valve and 440 keeps coming up HHHHHEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!!!!!

Where is the purge control valve and is it easy enough to be replaced by novice like me?

The purge control valve is under the hood of the car. It's really easy to find bc it's on the top of the engine just open it up and look around you can't miss it!!
