Tamiya Honda RC211V '03 "Valencia GP"

Here is my latest completed model. The Tamiya REPSOL Honda RC211V '03 with the Studio 27 Valencia GP Decals.
I built this straight from the box to compete in our State titles later this year. Unfortunately, you can't make any modifications in this class except decals. Yeah, I know, that sucks big time because this kit needs modifications to the cowls and also the exhaust. There are only 2 classes for Civil vehicles Box Stock and modified (including wiring of distributors etc.)
Overall I am really happy with the final result. Allclad was used everywhere which looks heaps better than the plating that Tamiya use. The decals went on without any problems and even the Fluoro Yellow Polycarbonate paint was a breeze to apply and polish.

I have those decals too but have not been game to build the kit yet. Bit cheesed that Tamiya is now coming out with them in a kit as well especially as the kit has all the probs you mentioned sorted out.
I really like your heat treatment on the exhausts, looks amazing - far better than my own attempt.
Another target for me to aim at!

The State is Queensland in Australia.

My camera take photo's at high resolution (up to 6 m.pixels ) but I have to reduce the size for the Downloads to work. How do I reduce the size of the file but retain resolution? I must admit Camera's and Computers confuse the crap out of me!

Tony, I saw Tamiya was releasing the kit which actually gave me the motivation to finish it. For the exhaust I sprayed it will Allclad Chrome then Model master Stainless Steel on the bends and joins. Finally finished with light coating of clear orange and blue.

Rob as well as the number of pixels a JPEG image can be decreased in size (Kbytes) by increasing the compression. That is usually in most graphics programs as a reduction in quality. What graphics software are you using?

I'll be heading back to Queensland (Brisbane) at the end of this year or next, living in Wagga at the moment. I'll have to come along to the titles then. Hopefully we and any other Banana Benders on this forum can meet up there!
