Radio & A/C lights

I'm having a problem with my radio and A/C lights. When my headlights automatically pop on, my radio lights and the A/C - heat lights go off. My lights come on if the car isn't started, but once the car starts these particular lights go off. The radio still plays but you can't see the radio station or the clock. I'm not sure if it's a fuse. I have no idea where the interior fuse box is. I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue. It was previously a rental car.

Open the passenger side door and on the side of the dash covered by the door there will be this plastic covering with a recess for your fingers. Mine is a different color than the dash. Give it a pull and the interior fuses will be visible. I am not sure if it is a blown fuse, but it is worth a check.

check the dimmer control and make sure it is turned up all the way.
