97 k1500 Slverado blinker buzz

My gas pump went out yesterday and i fixed it. Now when I use the blinkers to turn there is a quick buzz and then the blinker stays on until I let off the break. Again it works fine until the break is applied, then there is a quick buzz that comes off the electirc box that controles the blinkers on the fuse pannel. I am trying to figure out why this is happening. I replaced the box on the fues pannel and the new one will buzz the same as the old one. Could the towing company broke this somehow? I left the hazard lights on and the battery died by the time the truck got to my house. Any ideas what this is. I was thinking some kind of short in the break lite switch on the break pedal? any info would help.

thanks

blinker control unit?

The box you replaced i assume was a relay for your lights, wired to the brake pedal, try looking at the blinking control unit itself, it may be worn out and just needs to be replaced (about a 5-10 dollar part returnable at most auto part retailers).
