Hele Please 01 Cobra

my 01 cobra w/ 14k miles is hard as heck to put in first gear and also when im rolling at about 5mph it makes a horrable gringing/banging sound when putting in first i have a steeda tri-axe put in about a month ago and then this all of a sudden happenes...(wtf?) somebody please help???

Try adjusting the stops. If that doesn't work, put the stock shifter back in and see if it makes a difference.

I was going to suggest try using the clutch when shifting. LOL

Seriously though, I would check to make sure the stops were set correctly first.

The 3650 has a reputation for some problems. Bent shift forks is one. "Notchiness" is another. The Tri-Ax amplifies these things. Did you change your clutch cable?? You can also "adjust" it by pulling up on the clutch pedal which causes any slack to be taken up by the stock plastic clutch quadrant.

I've not had any tranny issues and I have the Tri-Ax in my '01 Snake.

i wanna call this on a bad synchro or blocking ring, the ones for 1st gear tend to take the most abuse
